Infrastructure & Service Limitations
Last updated: 3 June 2026
Streamstead provides cloud-based livestream infrastructure. This page explains important limitations relating to uploads, storage, transcoding, third-party platforms, and service availability.
No guaranteed uptime
While Streamstead aims to provide reliable infrastructure, uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Uploads, transcoding, stream delivery, thumbnails, storage synchronisation, dashboard functionality, or API behaviour may occasionally be delayed, interrupted, degraded, or temporarily unavailable.
Streamstead may employ automated recovery, restart, failover, monitoring, or resilience mechanisms designed to reduce disruption where possible. These mechanisms are provided on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted livestream delivery, continuous platform availability, or successful recovery from all failures.
Third-party dependencies
Streamstead relies on third-party hosting, networking, storage, authentication, payment, and streaming systems. Failures, restrictions, changes, or outages affecting those services may affect Streamstead.
Streaming platform dependency
Streamstead is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, Twitch, or any third-party streaming platform. Third-party platform policies, API changes, monetisation decisions, account restrictions, enforcement actions, or outages are outside Streamstead's control.
Uploads and processing
Uploads and video processing may vary depending on file size, format, codec, internet connection, queue load, infrastructure availability, and provider performance.
User backups
Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups of uploaded files, source media, stream assets, and original content. Streamstead should not be treated as permanent archival storage.
Fair usage
Streamstead may apply reasonable infrastructure protections, storage limits, bandwidth limits, upload limits, concurrency limits, rate limits, or other safeguards where necessary to maintain service reliability and protect other users.
